Truffles for Valentine's Day!

Hey.. do you guys already have a plan for giving gifts for your beloved people? =) maybe a card, chocolate cake, flowers, or.. maybe truffles?? yea.. my beloved is a coffee-lover, so i decided to give him truffles with coffee sensation ^^

here's the ingredients:
7 oz (200 g) milk chocolate
2 oz (60 ml) strong hot coffee, preferably espresso
4 oz (110 g) dark semisweet chocolate (45-60% cocoa)

and .. this is how we make it:

1. Break the milk chocolate into small pieces and melt with coffee over hot water.
2. Whisk gently until the mixture is smooth. Let cool in the refrigerator overnight covered by plastic wrap.
3. Scoop a small tablespoon of chocolate mixture and roll the truffle balls in your hands; be careful to avoid melting the balls. The size (diameter) should be about 1 inch (2.5 cm). Alternatively, shape the truffles by using a melon baller.
4. Cool them in the refrigerator before coating with melted dark chocolate.
5. Melt the dark chocolate over hot water and cool the melted chocolate to 95 degrees F (35 degrees C) or less but do not let the mixture harden.
6. Coat the cold truffle balls by rolling them rapidly in the melted chocolate using a fork and a teaspoon.
7. Place the truffles on a cookie sheet and put in the fridge until the chocolate coating is hard.
8. The truffles should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Take them out of the fridge approximately two hours before serving.

hatred

someday, a teacher of kindergarten held a 'game' for her students.
the teacher told each child to bring a plastic bag with potatoes within. they must named each potatoes with the name of people who they hate. so, the number of potato is not determined. it depends on the number of people you hate.

On the agreed day each student brought the potatoes in a plastic bag. They brought 2, 3 or even 5. As their teacher ordered each potato in accordance named names of people they hate.

the students must bring that potatoes wherever they go, even to the toilet, for a week ahead.
day by day, those potatoes began to rot. children start to complain, especially those who carrying 4 or 5 potatoes. the potatoes were heavy and smelled very bad.

finally, one though week passed. all children were very relieved.

teacher: "how it feel to bring a bag of potatoes for a week?"

then all of student start to complaining about the rotten potatoes and how heavy they are.
then the teacher explained what the meaning of the 'game' they did.

teacher: "such like that is the hatred which always we carry when we can't forgive others. it was very uncomfortable carrying rotten potatoes wherever we go. it just for a week.. how will it be if we carrying hatred for a lifetime?"

Therefore let's learn to forgive each other.. because by forgiving we can feel peace. it is difficult, we know that. but we can do it! ^^

Moving

I was sitting and staring at my text books to deal with my math test ahead, when a thought crossed my mind.. this is kinda boring here. Facing same activities from day to day.. nothing special. Maybe it will be better if I get move to somewhere else. Get a new atmosphere, start a new adventure ~

Potato Farmer

Potato farmer was sent to to prison just at time when he should have been digging the ground for planting the new crop of potatoes.
He knew that his wife would not be strong enough to do the digging by herself, but that she could manage to do the planting,
and he also knew that he did not have any friends or neighbors who would be willing to do the digging for him.
So he wrote a letter to his wife which said “Please do not dig the potato field. I hide the money and the gun there.”
Ten days later, he got a letter from his wife. It said, “I think somebody is reading your letter before they go out of prison. Some policeman arrived here two days ago and dug up the whole field. What shall I do now?”

The prisoner wrote back at once. “Plant the potatoes, of course!”

Love & Time

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived: Happiness, Sadness, Knowledge, and all of the others, including Love. One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink, so all constructed boats and left. Except for Love.

Love was the only one who stayed. Love wanted to hold out until the last possible moment.

When the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help.

Richness was passing by Love in a grand boat. Love said,
"Richness, can you take me with you?"
Richness answered, "No, I can't. There is a lot of gold and silver in my boat. There is no place here for you."

Love decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. "Vanity, please help me!"
"I can't help you, Love. You are all wet and might damage my boat," Vanity answered.

Sadness was close by so Love asked, "Sadness, let me go with you."
"Oh . . . Love, I am so sad that I need to be by myself!"

Happiness passed by Love, too, but she was so happy that she did not even hear when Love called her.

Suddenly, there was a voice, "Come, Love, I will take you." It was an elder. So blessed and overjoyed, Love even forgot to ask the elder where they were going. When they arrived at dry land, the elder went her own way. Realizing how much was owed the elder,

Love asked Knowledge, another elder, "Who Helped me?"
"It was Time," Knowledge answered.
"Time?" asked Love. "But why did Time help me?"
Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, "Because only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is."
